Summary

Description Milton Abbey church (St. Mary, St. Michael, St. Sampson and St. Branwaleder), Dorset, 1 August 2019. The original abbey church was destroyed in a fire in 1309 and rebuilt thereafter in Decorated style although the nave was never built and the quire used as the nave instead. The tower and north transepts were added in the 15th Century in Perpendicular style. Wyatt remodelled it in the late 18th Century. Pictured is the superb fan vault at the tower base.
