Description
English: This Alco RSC-2 diesel locomotive was built in 1947 for the Milwaukee Road (Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad) as a switch engine Numbered as 988. It saw service in Wisconsin and Minnesota until the mid-1970s. From then until the early 1980s, it headed tourist trains and also saw short line use, after which it was retired. This engine is now part of the Mid-Continent Railway Museum collection in the town of North Freedom, Wisconsin.
