Summary

Description
English: Northern Monet crater (bottom) on Mercury. The rim is not clear under this lighting; the flat plain in lower right is the crater floor. Approximate color representation combining three images acquired by MESSENGER Wide Angle Camera (EW0210460476F, EW0210460480G, EW0210460484I) with I (996.2 nm), G (748.7 nm), and F (433.2 nm) filters. Combined in GIMP software as RGB (Red-Green-Blue). Combined image was stretched 20% and rotated to create an approximate map projection. North is at top.
