Deutsch: Château des Rohan in Mutzig. Elsass. Das Schloss wurde ursprünglich als Residenz des Bischofs Franz Egon von Fürstenberg erbaut und 1673 bezogen. Nachdem die Familie von Rohan das Bischofsamt von Straßburg übernahm, diente das Schloss als Residenz der Herzöge zu Armand Gaston , François-Armand , Louis Constantin und Louis René Édouard de Rohan , zwischen 1704 und 1790. In den letzten Jahrzehnten aber nur noch als Nebenresidenz. Während der Französischen Revolution wurde das Schloss geplündert, enteignet und versteigert. 1799 wurde es von den Gebrüdern Coulaux erstanden. Vom 20. April 1801 bis 1870 (Beginn des Deutsch-Französischer Krieges) diente das Schloss als Waffenmanufaktur. Hier wurden die berühmten Chassepot-Gewehre hergestellt. Heute beherbergt das Schloss das städtische Museum von Mutzig (mit einer großen Gewehrsammlung) und verschiedene kulturelle Einrichtungen. |
