The timing on the picture does not make sense

You can see this plane has the tail feathers (squadron insignia) which had been removed from all squadrons years before

This is also the old paint scheme. The squadron has transitioned to IR grey by 1991

I served in VP-11 from 1988-1991

So this cannot be accurate
