Description
English: William Henry Revis (1849-1923) scored the first goal in league play for the Nottingham Reds (Nottingham Forest F.C.), and later became a businessman in the textile industry and philanthropist. A portrait of the Revis family ca. 1891 shows (left to right) William Arthur Revis (b. 1879), Clara Matthews Revis (b. 1872), Elizabeth Rimington Revis (b. 1874), Annie Francis Revis (b. 1875), Sarah Kate Revis (b. 1877), George Edward Revis (b. 1882), William Henry Revis, and Elizabeth Revis.
