Summary

Description An old Japanese trolleybus in Mexico City in 2008, temporarily covered in knitting by the knitting enthusiast group Knitta Please, as public art. This is the rear portion of the left side of the trolleybus, which was formerly used on the Kanden Tunnel trolleybus line in Japan, from the 1960s to the early 1990s. The trolleybus was parked at the north end of Plaza Luis Cabrera, and being used as public art for several years up until 2014. The government of Cuauhtémoc borough (Delegación Cuauhtémoc) was hiring artists to paint – or otherwise adorn (but usually paint) – the vehicle periodically, and the designs changed every few months.
