Summary

Description
English: In 1926 (Taisho 15), the site of the Nabeshima residence was severely damaged by the Great Kanto Earthquake. A decision was made to build the Japanese Prime Minister's official residence. Construction began in 1927 (Showa 2), and was completed in 1929 (Showa 4). The ``Prime Minister's Official Residence before this was around the current ``House of Representatives Second Members' Office Building. The photo is around 1929 (Showa 4).
日本語: 「関東大震災」により大きな被害を受けた「鍋島邸」の敷地には、1926（大正15）年、中央官庁の震災復興計画を担った「中央諸官衙建築準備委員会」が「総理大臣（首相）官邸」（総理大臣が執務する建物）を建設することを決議、1927（昭和2）年に着工、1929（昭和4）年に竣工した。これ以前の「総理大臣官邸」は、現在の「衆議院第二議員会館」のあたりにあった。【画像は1929（昭和4）年頃】
