Bayamon is a town charmingly situated amidst hills and rich tropical foliage. The National Road enter the town over the Imperial Bridge. The quaint, thatched huts of the peons or natives are most picturesque, and the old cathedral (one of the oldest buildings in Porto Rico), with its fine furnishings and valuable paintings, is an object of much interest.
