El Arzobispo de Valladolid, D. Ricardo Blázquez asistió en la mañana del miércoles 19 de septiembre de 2012 al Acto solemne de la Inauguración del Curso Académico 2012-13 en el Acuartelamiento General Shelly de la Academia de Caballería. El Ministro de Defensa, Pedro Morenés, presidió la inauguración que este año arranca con la cifra de 137 alumnos aspirantes a oficiales y suboficiales, de los cuales 12 son mujeres, y a los que se unirán a lo largo del año hasta trescientos alumnos.
A la cita acudieron autoridades militares y civiles y como el comandante militar de Valladolid y Palencia, Aurelio Quintanilla Burgos, el delegado del Gobierno, Ramiro Ruiz Medrano, el alcalde, Javier León de la Riva, el presidente de la Diputación, Jesús Julio Carnero o el delegado territorial de la Junta, Pablo Trillo-Figueroa. |
