English: A plate engraved for the Macklin Bible after a specially-commissioned painting by Philippe Jacques De Loutherbourg. Photographed from the Bowyer Bible, Bolton, England. Bowyer Bible 29.3710. Christ Walking on the Sea. Matthew 14:30. A stormy night with Peter at left walking towards Christ standing on water at right, a boat behind at right. 1795. Inscriptions: Lettered below image with title, Bible reference (as Chapter 18), production detail: "P. J. De Loutherbourg R.A. Pinxt.", "J. Fitler Sculp." and publication line: "London, Published Novr. 30th. 1795, by Thos. Macklin, Poets Gallery, Fleet Street". Print made by James Fittler. Dimensions: Height: 485 millimetres; width: 396 millimetres.
