English: View of the Plaza San Martín from Arenales street to south. At left, the Argentine Pavillion built in 1899, then seat of National Museum of Fine Arts, which was demolished in 1933 to expand the park. At the background, the Santísimo Sacramento Basilica tower (1916) along with a chimmey. At right, the Plaza Hotel, inaugurated in 1909.
Español: Vista de la Plaza San Martín desde la calle Arenales hacia el sur. Se distingue a la izquierda el Pabellón Argentino, entonces sede del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes y demolido en 1933 para ampliar la plaza. Al fondo, se distingue la torre de la Basílica del Santísimo Sacramento consagrada en 1916 y una chimenea industrial, y a la derecha el Plaza Hotel con su aspecto original, inaugurado en 1909.
