Creation Method:

  • Created routes on MapMyRide.com; exported as GPX
  • Imported GPX to BikeRouteToaster.com; exported with height data as GPX
  • Imported GPX to RideWithGPS.com; allows easy reference of height and grade data at any given point
  • Noted height details at least every 0.1km; also noted maximum grades; calculated average grade for each 0.1km section
  • Created a scale profile line in Adobe Illustrator CS6 (1km per 20mm distance; 10m per mm height); added text labels etc...
