Summary

Description View of windmill de Hommel on the corner of the ringvaart and the lake Molenplas, built in 1860 to keep the water level of the Schalkwijk polder steady. The windmill is located on the other side of the ringvaart from the Haarlemmermeer polder. This picture shows on the right the ringvaart dike for cars and cyclists. On the right of that in the distance, trees are growing in a piece of the Stelling van Amsterdam.
