Summary

Description
English: Rous Lench Court. Rous Lench Court straddles the boundary of two grid squares. The estate is the home of the Rouse Baronets and dates back to Henry III. Only the moat remains of the original manor house (see 916694). In 1721 the Baronetcy became extinct and the estate passed into the hands of the Boughtons, an old Shropshire family, owners of a very fine estate at Bownton Hall near Ludlow. In 1856 Sir Charles Boughton converted a farm house into this family mansion. Rouse Lench Court is a very impressive building in the Elizabethan style, constructed of oak noggins on a stone foundation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rouse_Baronets
