English: A Mark 5 Canadair Sabre of No. 416 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Force parked on ramp at No. 2 Wing, RCAF Station Grostenquin, France, July, 1953.
Note: This is probably a Sabre Mk 2 (F-86E-type), because on 31 December 1953 No 1 (F) Wing (North Luffenham), No 2 (F) Wing (Grostenquin) and No 3 (F) Wing (Zweibrücken) were equipped with Sabre Mk 2, only No 4 (F) Wing at Baden-Söllingen had the Sabre Mk 5 (F-86F-type with Orenda engine).
Deutsch: Eine Canadair Sabre Mk 5 der 416 (F) Squadron „Lynx“ (Code AS) RCAF, abgestellt vor dem Hangar der No 2 Wing, RCAF Station Grostenquin, Frankreich, im Juli 1953. Hinweis: Es dürfte sich um eine Sabre Mk 2 (F-86E-type) handeln, denn am 31.12.1953 waren die No 1 (F) Wing (North Luffenham), No 2 (F) Wing (Grostenquin) und die No 3 (F) Wing (Zweibrücken) mit Sabre Mk 2 ausgestattet, nur die No 4 (F) Wing in Baden-Söllingen basaß die Sabre Mk 5 (F-86F-type with Orenda engine).
