English: Sculptures at Sheh, image of Maitreya, raised probably by King Imagon, about 975 AD. Image from A History of Western Tibet: One of the Unknown Empires by Rev. A. H. Francke.[1] Deeg 1999, p. 167 note 76[2] identifies the right drawing with Mahākāśyapa, the disciple who, according to legends, gave Gautama Buddha's robe to Maitreya Buddha.
