Summary

Description
English: This image shows the Shinarump Conglomerate at the Shinarump Cliffs, its type area, south of Kanab, Utah. The Shinarump forms the upper lighter portion of the cliffs. The lower reddish beds are the upper beds of the Moenkopi Formation. Both are Triassic in age. The Shinarump Conglomerate is the lowest member of the Chinle Formation over much of its extent (or lowest formation where the Chinle is raised to group rank, as in New Mexico.)
