To show a rare view of the rocket explosion of Soyuz 7K-ST No.16L, the first ever use of launch abort system with crew onboard.

The mission was operated by the Soviet Union, with Russia retaining copyright to all images taken as part of the Soviet space program. In addition, the pad was cleaned up after the rocket explosion, and as a result an image of the aftermath of the explosion cannot be taken.
