Fair use for Socialist Party of America[edit]

Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws, and the stricter requirements of Wikipedia's non-free content policies, because:

1. It is a historically significant image of an out of print publication. The publisher is defunct, the organization which issued it is defunct, and there is no traceable artist from whom to obtain rights.
2. The publication was produced only in one edition, nearly 75 years ago.
3. It is of much lower resolution than the original. This is a 72 ppi scan of a cover, reduced in size.
4. The image is only being used for informational purposes.
5. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because historical significance of the image is an object of discussion in the article.
