Description

Screenshot of the Terminator View Screen in one of the missions. Two squads are in play here but the screen interface only allows control of one squad at a time. The game is currently in "Freeze Time" as shown by the depressed FREEZE button just at the lower right. The bar below it is the "Freeze Time" timer. The primary monitor is the one in the lower center, whose Terminator the player has direct control over (the current Terminator being Sergeant Sabathius armed with Lightning Claws). A Genestealer is currently engaged with the Sergeant, and another is about to engage the Flamer-armed Marine #3 as well. Marine #4 is already dead and his monitor is replaced by static. Terminator #2 is standing behind #1, and observing #1 engaging with Claws. The order queue is below each monitor, and shows Terminator #5 in movement. The lower left map displays the squad members by their numbers and the enemies as red dots, regardless of whether they are Genestealers or blips.

Space Hulk (video game)

Portion used

This is composed of only one out of the millions of frames rendered by the video game, and hence insignificant.

Low resolution?

Yes

Purpose of use

To give a visual understanding of the gameplay elements described in the Gameplay section, particularly the first-person perspective and monitoring of the squad. Furthermore, this illustrates the resemblance of the alien Genestealer to H. R. Giger's Xenomorph, which many reviewers pointed out; words alone cannot illustrate the creature.

Replaceable?

Electronic Arts and Games Workshop have not released any such images into the public domain, and a free replacement image could not be created that would adequately provide the same information

Other information

As the game is out-of-production and no longer on sale, the use of this image neither detracts from the game nor inhibits its salability in any way
