The church is used for theatre performances and a stage is in the process of being built. It was built mainly during the 14th century and the font > <a title="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2049313" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2049313">Link</a><img style="padding-left:2px;" alt="External link" title="External link - shift click to open in new window" src="http://s0.geograph.org.uk/img/external.png" width="10" height="10"/> dates from that time. It contains a number of memorials and monuments to members of the Bacon family. The tomb was made by Bernard Janssen, the king's engineer.
