Summary

Description
English: Wide view of TriMet's Sunset Transit Center, focused on the bus roadway and bus stops. At the center left is the upper part of the MAX light rail station, which is below street level but uncovered.
The tallest of the buildings in the background is the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. The two roadways at right, next to the bus roadway, are (uppermost, with red van) the connecting "ramp" from northbound Oregon Highway 217 to the westbound Sunset Highway (US 26) – the freeway after which the transit center is named – and the on-ramp to the Sunset Highway from westbound Barnes Road. The MAX bridge over Highway 217 is also visible, in the upper righthand background. The brick building (marked "Sunset Transit Center") in the center is an electrical substation for the light rail line. The buses at the transit center consist of two Flxible Metros and one D40LFR. At the time of the picture, the D40LFR was TriMet's newest bus and the Flxible Metro was a common sight. Subsequently, TriMet's last Flxible Metros were retired in 2015, and the D40LFR is TriMet's oldest model of bus.
