Description
English: Tutankhamun's head child emerging from a lotus flower, evocation of the King's permanent regeneration.

Tutankhamun's grave (1340-1331 BC. J.C.) was discovered by Howard Carter in November 1922. Pharaoh died at the age of 19, his mummy was in a solid gold coffin, placed inside 2 wooden coffins. These 3 coffins were in a quartzite sarcophagus with a red granite cover.

Around the sarcophagus, 4 golden wooden chapels nested each other that completely occupied the sarcophagus room.

La tombe de Toutankhamon (1340-1331 AV. J.C.) a été découverte par Howard Carter en novembre 1922. Le pharaon est mort à 19 ans, sa momie se trouvait dans un cercueil en or massif, placé à l'intérieur de 2 cercueils en bois. Ces 3 cercueils étaient dans un sarcophage de quartzite à couvercle de granit rouge.

Autour du sarcophage, s'emboîtaient les unes dans les autres, 4 chapelles en bois doré qui occupaient entièrement la salle du sarcophage.
