Summary

Description
English: The Cannon Inn was opened in 1826 by Robert Clements. Clements was the proprietor of The Old Cannon Inn at nearby Sheriff's Highway, Sheriff Hill, but realising the damage that the new road through Low Fell (Durham Road) would do to his trade, he relocated to the newer road. The pub still stands and trade (picture circa April 2012)
