Summary

Description
English: The King Edward I Monument, Burgh Marsh, near to Burgh by Sands, Cumbria, Great Britain. The King died whilst camped here in 1307 during his campaign against Robert the Bruce. The monument was erected in 1685. The enclosure means that the inscriptions cannot be fully read. I could just about see that it was restored and enclosed by the Earl of Lonsdale.
