Summary

Description
English: "The Comstock Building pictured in 1919, also known as the Trautman Building. The building was built in 1893 and consisted of 5 floors, with 11-12 foot ceilings. An Artspace study said the building was built in 1893 and had a new facade added in 1964. The Trautman family bought the 44,029 square-foot building in 1945 and sold it to the Downtown group in April 2007 for $2.1 million. The Franklin County auditor valued it at $920,000 in 2008. Ouellette Jewelers rented part of the building for 28 years. The building also housed the Sherman Williams Company for a number of years. It was approved for demolition in 2012."
