Summary

Description

Seen in Hayfield Bus Station in its first Summer of operation. The 901 was a truly epic Double Deck bus service, travelling from Huddersfield, Holmfirth, over the top and via Woodhead Reservoir to Glossop, then on via Long Hill to Buxton, Hartington, Matlock and the Crich Tramway Museum.

Portions of the former route still remain in the current bus network, but in its early days the destination blind hasn't been translated for use on the wrong side of the Pennines and the driver is closely reading his running card for further clues!
