Summary

Description
English: White Cloth Hall, Crown Street, Leeds. This is actually the 3rd White Cloth Hall, which opened for business in 1775. It provided a large area for merchants to trade in undyed cloth. The original building was rectangular, surrounding a large courtyard.

The cupola on the roof came from the 2nd hall, which was demolished in 1786. The building was split in 1865 when the railway viaduct was built through it, and this is the smaller triangular part on the north side of the viaduct. The railway company paid for a 4th white cloth hall, which was on King Street, and was demolished in 1895. See Wikipedia 3rd_White_Cloth_Hall
