Summary

Description
English: Completed in 1900, the narrow guage White Pass and Yukon railroad transported miners during the Klondike Gold Rush making it easier for them to get to the gold fields in the Yukon territory. Today this modern diesel electric locomotive takes sightseeing tourists 20 miles to the 3000 foot summit of White Pass near the Canadian border.
