English: The Verein für Raumschiffahrt ("VfR", English: Society for Space Travel) was a German amateur rocket association that laid the foundation for the German rocket development. Willy Ley, Wernher von Braun, Hermann Oberth and Klaus Riedel and others were part of this group of rocket enthusiasts.
