Description
English: The "Hat Trick" tail logo on the X-35B Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) aircraft consists of a magician's hat and three aces. On July 20, 2001, USMC test pilot Art Tomassetti, completed Mission X in the X-35B becoming the first aircraft in history to achieve a STOVL takeoff/landing, and level supersonic dash during a single flight. As of 2019, the X-35B is on display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Virginia, USA.
