I think that this copyright needs to be verified, because there are 45 stars on the Star Spangled Banner, indicating 45 States. In 1885, there were only 38 states in the Union. It wasn't until 1896 that there were 45 states in the united States with the entrance of Utah.Matt White (talk) 01:24, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Flags[edit]

Not important to the image itself, but if anyone is interested in the flags depicted here, the two New England flags on bottom are both considered to be historical errors. The "globe" flag only appears in some European books, probably all based on the same original error, and the blue NE flag is considered to have been created when a woodblock was accidentally marked with "blue" hashes instead of red.
