This image fails Wikipedia:Fair use criteria in all articles except Steve Urkel. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 00:53, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use?[edit]

This image is fine under the fair use criteria. In all but the actor's page the image is being used to identify the fictional charater in the image. In the actor's page it is not being used primarily as decoration, it is in the section that discusses this charater; the one he is most famously known for. This image should not be deleted.--Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 22:45, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's fine at Jaleel White and Steve Urkel since it's being used to illustrate the character where there is some discussion of him. At Nerd, it only discusses the character in the caption, and at List of fictional nerds, there is a brief mention of him, so I don't think the image is appropriate there. —ShadowHalo 23:11, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've deleted it from Nerd and List of fictional nerds, where its fair use claim is too shaky. I also removed it from a couple of user pages. It's still at Stever Urkel and Jaleel White (in a section discussing his role as the character). —Angr 09:36, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
