Politically Inaccurate Map?

In what world does Vietnam share a land border with Myanmar? I find it disturbing that several small countries like Bhutan and Nepal are marked out in great detail, as well as "conflicted border zones" on the border with India yet somehow Vietnam gets merged with Laos. Is this inaccuracy simply an oversight due to ineptitude or intentionally political? For a graphic that has supposedly been here for around 8 years how has this not been noticed and fixed?
