False Coat of Arms

Croatian Coat of Arms was never officially depicted with the first field red until the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. This particular Coat of Arms was taken from Meyers Großes Konversations-Lexikon, 6. Auflage, Bd. 15. Bibliographisches Institut, Leipzig und Wien, 1908, Österreichisch-Ungarische Länderwappen and this is how it really looks like

Author says that CoA from 1527 is the earliest of known usage which is incorrect, this one is from 1495
