Image size[edit]

This image is a composite of four individual photo images. The size of each individual stamp image is within acceptable limits for NFC images. It shoud be remembered that when determining an image's resolution it is the clarity that is of concern to any copyright holder. i.e. A photo-image can have a high resolution but still be out of focus, as pixel size alone does not account for resolution. Clarity and sharpness are the predominating factors and of most concern to any copyright holder. I have conferred with two other administrators before (user:stan shebs and user:masem) on a similar matter and the consensus is that the acceptable pixel-size limit for individual images is about 300, yet there is no definite number mentioned anywhere under NFC. Enough pixel dimensions are allowed to permit recognition and reading of the image. Please discuss before electing to replace this image with a smaller one that doesn't allow the viewer to recognize the subjects or read the print on the stamp image, as was done before by another user. Presently each individual stamp image in the composite image is roughly 240 x 150 pixels. Thanks for the consideration. GWillHickers (talk) 21:39, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
