Great drummer/[edit]

I was a drummer in the days when Martin was about 25. I sat in his car and he gave me a lift home from a gig. He told me that he was going to see if he could join Oscar and go round the world with him on tour. I knew that he was indeed a Great drummer then, but with all those brilliant American players I told him that he wouldn't have a chance in hell. But he did; travelled the world with Oscar for years after. I was amazed and if you look on youtube and see him with Oscar, you will be too. I have seen all of the best drummers and I do honestly believe that Martin Drew was the best all round drummer I have ever seen. I would have given anything to have been half as good as he was. Sadly, I can now play better than he, because he has died. He died at my age... 66. So sad. Technut (talk) 10:11, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
