Rename[edit]

@HapHaxion: I went with "Nic.ec logo.png" instead of the suggested ".ec ccTLD.png" because the logo is for the NIC. A third party offering .ec domains could probably not use this logo, or would require permission, assuming it's trademarked. So it's in that sense probably not the general logo for the .ec ccTLD. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 21:52, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Alexis Jazz: Fair enough! Thanks for the rename. HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 01:30, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@HapHaxion: You're welcome! Also (I just realized this): In Unix-like operating systems, any file or folder that starts with a dot character (for example, /home/user/.config), commonly called a dot file or dotfile, is to be treated as hidden. (and Unix-like includes macOS) While MediaWiki seems to allow filenames to start with a dot, I don't think it would be a good idea. (imagine downloading an image only to not find it in your download directory, spooky, right?) — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 01:46, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Alexis Jazz: You're absolutely right and I didn't realize that, meaning a few of the logos I've uploaded recently now probably have name issues :/ HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 01:49, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@HapHaxion: I just tested it to be sure and modern browsers seem to remove the dot when saving a file. With a download manager though this doesn't happen and the downloaded file is hidden. It's also possibly confusing because the downloaded file (with the browser) has a different name than the file on Wikipedia. If you need more renames, just request them. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 02:17, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
