Contrary to caption, this photo definitely wasn't taken onboard USS Lexington. If you look carefully you will see: A) some high and lenghty structures in the background. They are not any part of ship superstructure but metal roofs of buildings (hangars?) next to airfield. B) concrete surface of runway/taxiway but not wooden planks of a carrier flight deck. There is another photo of SOC-1 BuNo 9990 with RAdm King standing next to her: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:RAdm_King_with_SOC_Seagull_1936.jpg It dated June 8, 1936 and probably was taken at the same day and at the same place as one discussed.
