Wrong distances?[edit]

These distances are way out of goose. I make it a bit more than 2000km to Berlin and about 1400km to Oslo along a great circle. Do others agree? How did these figures end up on the sign? 79.64.167.96 (talk) 00:16, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think the distances might be calculated driving through Norway and not Sweden or Finland. I tried this with google maps, and the distance between Kirkenes and Oslo are pretty similar. Also the distance to Wien is correct if you avoid the czech republic, so it has something to do with cold war thinking. --94.246.42.25 (talk) 06:48, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
