Greenland: Migration is an upcoming American post-apocalyptic survival thriller film being directed by Ric Roman Waugh and serves as a sequel to the 2020 film, Greenland. It is estimated to be released around late 2024 and early 2025 by Lionsgate.[1]
Synopsis[edit]
"The survived Garrity family must leave the safety of the Greenland bunker and embark on a perilous journey across the decimated wasteland of Europe to find a new home."[2][3]

Production[edit]
In June 2021, it was announced a sequel titled Greenland: Migration was in development, and the following month, STX acquired the worldwide distribution rights for the film at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival for $75 million[4] and agreed to give the sequel a $65 million budget. It was put into bankruptcy protection,[5] the cast returned, and while Morena Baccarin was initially reluctant, she eventually agreed return for the sequel.[6]
Filming[edit]
Principal photography began on April 29, 2024, in the United Kingdom and Iceland.[7][8]
