Overall a brilliantly written article. Just need to address a few minor points below:
  • You refer to the "old Wembley Stadium" in the intro, should it not be just Wembley Stadium?
I'm torn, because it was the old one, but contemporaneously I suppose it was just Wembley, so I've removed "the old" per your suggestion. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 07:04, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • You initially refer to the Premiership, but then throughout article refer to it as the Premier League. Was it not called simply the Premiership at the time?
Fixed. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 07:04, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • The Picture in the infobox needs a caption.

  • Is the Man of the Match not known?
I can't find anything official but of course Mendonca would have been it, and The Independent and Sky agree. But is that sufficient for inclusion here? The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 07:04, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Kevin Phillips then scored his 35th goal of the season to put Sunderland ahead but Mendonca doubled his tally", rephrase Mendonca scoring again so reader doesn't think he may have doubled Phillips' 35 goal tally
Added "own" hoping that'll suffice. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 07:04, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Any details on referee Eddie Wolstenholme? Was it his first finals appearance, reputation? Not essential but nice to have if possible.
Unless I missed something obvious, not really. He quote in the legacy section summed it up, that he was pleased because he went unnoticed. I did add that curiously he had officiated the semi-final second leg though. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 07:04, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

EchetusXe thanks very much, I've responded above, let me know what you think. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 07:04, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Brilliant, that's perfect then. Best not to add the man of the match if nothing was officially confirmed.--EchetusXe 10:19, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
