Untitled[edit]

She's won enough cycling medals this Paralympics I wonder if maybe this should be renamed. I had some concerns from the get go and almost thought of calling this "Allison Jones (cyclist)", but before this Olympics she'd won more medals in skiing. Now it looks almost even maybe. Would that be confusing to the Brits? Wouldn't "sportsperson" have been clearer? I've seen that done, looking it up I find a Mary O'Connor (sportsperson) for example.--T. Anthony (talk) 23:37, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point, but after reading sportsperson, and finding that the North American equivalent is athlete, and given the fact the she's American, I think this could be ok. Mary O'Connor is from Ireland. HandsomeFella (talk) 06:25, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Allison Jones (skier) → Allison Jones (athlete) – Allison Jones is a Paralympic skier and cyclist. Feels awkward when you add the current link to cyclism pages, almost like you're intentionally doing something wrong. I suggest this rename, since "athlete" does not necessarily imply track and field. This is just a proposal, other suggestions are welcome. HandsomeFella (talk) 12:59, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
