Result: Kept. Happyme22 has addressed the mentioned issues. Till I Go Home (talk) 11:27, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I do not believe the article meets the current criteria for Good Articles for the following reasons:

  • "She passed the New York Bar examination in 1965, and became a prosecutor in the family court system. In 1982 Mayor Ed Koch appointed her a judge, first in criminal court, then later in 1986 as Manhattan's supervising family court judge. She was featured on CBS's 60 Minutes in the 1990s as a result of her reputation as a tough judge." The lead section should establish notability, not a history of their early career.
Done The lead should be an overview of the subject's entire life, including the subject's career, per WP:LEAD. That said, the lead did need some work and I've now made it up to par. Happyme22 (talk) 10:00, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are absolutely no references in the Personal life and Bibliography section, violating point 2 of the Good Article Criteria. Good Articles must provide references to all sources of information in the section.
Done The Bibliography section does not need citations in this instance, for the section is a list of books by the subject; nonetheless, I've cited them all. The section regarding her personal life has been cleaned up and properly cited. Happyme22 (talk) 10:00, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Not long after her retirement in 1996, Sheindlin was approached by Big Ticket Television about a possible courtroom television program, featuring real cases with real rulings.[4] She accepted the offer." - The reference provided does not support the claim made, it is a link to the official Judge Judy website.

  • "Her brother, David, is also a dentist." - Where is the reference to support this claim? Again, violating point 2 of the GAC, as well as not adhering to the policy on biographies of living persons.
Done -- removed. Happyme22 (talk) 10:00, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Sheindlin was parodied on Saturday Night Live by Cheri Oteri several different times during Oteri's stint on the show, once in which Sheindlin herself appeared briefly in an unannounced cameo appearance." - Also no reference provided to support claim.

I suggest addressing the issues mentioned in order for the article to maintain Good Article status. Till I Go Home (talk) 07:16, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
