Disambiguation link notification for June 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Council of Ministers of West Bengal, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Ministry of Water Resources and Javed Khan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello Impurnendu. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Impurnendu. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Impurnendu|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Kuru (talk) 04:57, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:50, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Purnendu92m! Your additions to West Bengal Board of Primary Education have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 16:41, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for adding spam links. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia and potentially penalized by search engines.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  DanCherek (talk) 16:43, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am the owner of Edukare, and I thought my app link was related to the teachers of West Bengal Educational Boards. But now I realised that I was wrong and I never do such kind of edits. Please unblock me. Thank you. --purnendu-- (talk) 18:56, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am the owner of Edukare, and I thought my app link was related to the teachers of West Bengal Educational Boards. But now I realised that I was wrong and I never do such kind of edits. Please unblock me 19:02, 12 January 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:

This doesn't convince me that you understand how to edit with a conflict of interest, nor does it tell what edits you will make instead since you won't be permitted to edit about your website/company or anything for which you have a conflict of interest at this time. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 10:29, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I apologized for my mistake. Please don't blacklist my URL. I will never add it in any article unless any other user use those links if notability found later. --purnendu-- (talk) 04:44, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Whether it is blacklisted or not is out of your hands, now. 331dot (talk) 10:29, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Purnendu92m (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Though wikipedia thinks my added link was spam, as those links are not related to those articles and that is a conflict of interest, that's why I am banned. But I know that every teachers of West Bengal Board of Education and West Bengal School Education Department are using the app "edukare" for their official use, I don't think the 'edukare' is not related to the Government Teachers of West Bengal. Even I am also a government teacher of west bengal. That should be on external link for the teachers who search in wikipedia. It's not an appropriate decesion by the administrators of Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

All of this just suggests that you will fail to meet the conflict of interest rules were we to unblock. Should it be being used by every teacher in such a large region, it can be added as needed by others without that conflict (including asking for exemptions from any blacklisting as needed). Nosebagbear (talk) 12:10, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I would add that administrators do not make decisions about content, they make decisions about behavior, like spamming. If there was a legitimate purpose for adding a link to your company, there is a proper way to go about it. You have now burned that bridge, so you will have to rely on others independently and without involvement from you deciding to use that process to request inclusion (as Nosebagbear notes). 331dot (talk) 12:33, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I will not spam anymore if any. I'll not use the word EduKare word anymore

Decline reason:

Editing about education falls squarely within your conflict of interest, so you won't be unblocked to edit about it. Also we aren't interested in what primary sources like the government say, but in what independent reliable sources say. 331dot (talk) 17:54, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please describe what non conflict of interest, non promotional edits you would make. Thanks-- Deepfriedokra (talk) 08:07, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I added a link of EduKare to an educational content, but this goes against the Wikipedia rule. But, I'll be more selective to add any citation to any article. It was my mistaked. --purnendu-- (talk) 10:24, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we want to know what edits you will make instead, such as what articles or topic areas. 331dot (talk) 10:50, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
