Editing other's comments[edit]

Hi Sirdaar, just a tip, you should not have edited some else's comment here. It is against the policies. As the information provided there was already available on-wiki. @Vigyani: Thank you for the tip. I'm still learning. However I also read on top of the same page, "Do not link to or include material that may reveal personal information about an editor. Doing so is outing and will be dealt with accordingly." The information removed thereof was not assisting outing of the contributors, and not relevant to the discussion. I would watch out in future and instead of taking an action, would ask the contributors themselves or ask for an admin intervention if need be. Thank you again for helping me learn something new. Continuing from Talk:1984 anti Sikh riots[edit]

Hi, WP can be bit confusing sometime. But you can ask me any question you want. It can be sometime surprising about what we don't know. I once tried to initiate a discussion to change the title of Guru Nanak to Guru Nanak Dev. But it so happened that he is referred more as Guru Nanak as compared to Guru Nanak Dev. Regarding move discussion: Yeah it can not be last vote, as move discussion can be started as many time as one want. But if the new discussion doesn't present any new arguments or sources. Then it can be closed early. Regarding RfC on Talk:Punjabi_language: It so happens that regular users are convinced with references provided by Anupam. Because, those references are published by highly reputed universities. Other arguments such as "calling it a conspiracy by devnagari proponents" , "come to Punjab to see" etc are of no use. They are not valid in WP system. Thats not how WP works. So I tried to hunt down some academic references to oppose the inclusion of devnagari. --Vigyani_talk^{ਯੋਗਦਾਨ} 08:20, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
