RJL feedback[edit]

Thank you for adding road junction lists (RJLs) to Wisconsin highway articles. I'd like to offer some pieces of constructive feedback, some based on MOS:RJL and some on general practices.

  • Things read and look better in the notes if you use "southern end" instead of "south end".
  • Looking at Wisconsin Highway 52, I separated WIS 64 to its own line from US 45/WIS 47. Otherwise, it implies that the three highways run concurrently at that intersection, yet they don't.
  • The RJL is missing directions. So for example, look at M-28 (Michigan highway)#Major intersections:
    • Concurrency termini have directions. At MM 16.281, M-28 intersects M-64. From that intersection, M-64 runs southbound. At the next intersection at MM 20.422, M-64 runs northbound.
    • Highway termini also have directions. At MM 106.927 is the northern terminus of M-95, so the direction is given as southbound.
  • The RJL is missing control cities. Look again at M-28, and you'll see that the first M-64 junction lists the destination of "Marenisco".
  • We also list street names as appropriate. So at MM 132.312 on M-28, the signage there gives McClellan Avenue as the name of the roadway carrying M-553.
  • It's not really necessary to indicate the subject highway's termini. We don't need to add notes for every junction to just have notes for every junction.
  • I updated the Bus. US 51 entry with |dab1=Wausau in {{jct}} so that it will link to U.S. Route 51 Business (Wausau, Wisconsin) instead of U.S. Route 51 Business (Wisconsin). That first link doesn't exist either, but someday it will point someplace more useful. Other business routes likely have specific links in place already.

I hope this helps, and please keep up the good work. The Wisconsin articles have needed some TLC for a while. Imzadi 1979  20:03, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
