OriginalVermont State House
Reason
Well-composed shot of the building with its surrounding environs, which gives the viewer a sense of place. This was one of the finalists in the Wiki Loves Monuments competition for the U.S (disclosure: I was one of the judges). Yes, there's a little blown-out area on the dome, but I don't think it's enough to disqualify the image.

  • Oppose Excessive noise, especially on the two pillars closest to camera. I'm not a big fan of the composition - would prefer this to be taken dead centre rather that off to the side. Also the foreground is very dark. Finally the blown dome is enough coupled with the other three reasons for me to oppose... gazhiley 09:02, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
