Summary

Description
English: The term 'Maldhari' refers to various pastoralist communities such as the Koli, Kathi, Charan, Rabari, and Bharwad in the Kutch region of Gujarat, India. These communities are involved in rearing Banni or Sindhi buffaloes, Kankrej cattle, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys, and camels. They are currently facing challenges due to shifting dairy practices, drought, and grassland degradation.
